We've just released a new web presence for the Medieval and Early Modern Institute.
Whether you are commissioning your first website, or redesigning an existing website, it is important to know that your dollar is being well spent. We work very closely with our clients to ensure that their website not only serves their needs now, but are flexible and have room to grow with them.
To ensure that our clients are as happy as possible, we spend a good deal of time in the planning stages, to ensure there are no surprises down the road. From visual presentation to nuts and bolts, the client is given input on every part of the site’s creation.
We are also very cautious to never sell the client more features on a website than they need. One of our strongest talents at static·red light industries is to astound a visitor with as few distractions as possible.
The first (and most important) part of our design philosophy is to keep things simple. We don’t believe you need a lot of flashy, shiny things to create a strong web presence. For years, we’ve advocated simple designs that capture an organization’s essence and appeal to their target market. Through crisp, clean content and striking imagery we work to create material that resonates with the viewer and sticks in their minds.
The second part of our philosophy is to treat design as a craft. We go against the common practice of templates and visual editors; our sites are built by hand to ensure a high level of quality and beauty. To ensure we create the best web presence possible, static·red light industries also maintains a network of the finest independent illustrators, photographers, programmers and copy writers throughout the Alberta region. These skilled creators approach their work with the greatest care, and go above and beyond to create materials the client will love.
We here at static·red light industries embrace the web standards project, which was founded in 1998 by several web luminaries. The aim of the movement is to create sites that use standard HTML, CSS, and XML markup.
Using web standards has numerous benefits. It creates leaner, quicker websites, offers instant accessibility to disabled visitors, and dramatically increases your search engine exposure. We’ve seen our own sites rocket to the top 3 listings in Google within weeks of adopting web standards.
We’re always happy to talk to new clients and bring their dreams to the web. Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information about how we can create or renew your web presence. We love talking to you.
