Matrikon's executives wanted to create a more professional site, which catered to its diverse industrial clientele. The executives wished to expand the company's credibility throughout industry, by creating specific content portals.

Merilus wanted to create a vibrant entryway to their new corporate site. This was one of the prototypes suggested for the main page. The executive board wanted to put an equal stress on three major portions of the site. This design served to give an equal balance to three major items, while still giving the flexibility through the center panel to put an emphasis on one of the items.

nasty is a peer-reviewed academic journal, with a focus on the humanities. My partner Kirsten and I have been publishing nasty since late 1998. We've had quite the cast of contributors in our ranks, from serious intellectual study of James Joyce's effects on modern American cinema, to rather quirky manifestos of the post-living.

staticred is my personal playground and testbed. If I'm trying something new, in either layout or code, I'll do it here first, where it won't bother anyone. Once an idea has been tested and deployed on staticred, it's ready for the rest of the world. Any and all code developed on staticred is given away free for the taking, and often submitted to sites such as iStock for easier dissemination.
