As some of you know, I used Charles and Ray Eames' film Powers of 10 in my MA thesis as a tool for framing my study of the blog. I learned today that Power of 10 was in fact based on an earlier (1968) film by Eva Szasz and the National Film Board of Canada called Cosmic Zoom, which itself was based on a book by Kees Boeke called Cosmic View: The Universe in 40 Jumps. I wish I had known about this earlier, as it would have been nice to have a Canadian film short in my thesis rather than an American one (since I did my BA on Canadian literature, after all). Still, it's not too late to recognize it now and post it to the blog... ;)
