Because I'm a big geek and had a spare monitor, I set up Synergy to connect my Windows and Linux computers. Now I don't have to SSH in / open XDMCP / otherwise take up any of my Windows computer's screens to do stuff on my server. I just move my mouse into the third monitor and type away.
