As a quick update to Ruby's kennel training: she slept through the night on day 3, whining only twice: once around 1:30, then again at 6:30. I ignored the 1:30 whining and let her out to pee for the 6:30 whine. She's been happy to sleep in the kennel ever since (though her usual "routine" is to run to the puppy bed first in the hopes I'll let her sleep there).

Althnough I'm certain she's digging up some part of our garden right this instant (she doesn't like being left alone for long periods of time and takes it out on the garden), Ruby's been an absolute joy to have. Also, she's kept Cayce really active - we're sure Cayce has lost weight since the new dog came to town.
