Darren's Choice

<< Day 5 & 6: Now with more ow. | Main | THE PAPER >>

Kirsten foolishly let me decide at 6am this morning, in bed, whether or not to get up to go to the gym. My sleep-addled brain said "Of course not! Let's go back to sleep!"

And so I did.

(We're going to go to the gym tonight, unless I start freaking out about the state of my paper)

  1. Oh, that's a slippery slope to go down, as soon as you start making excuses, you'll *never* go.

I'm just waiting until I get more than 6 hours of sleep a night before I hit the gym in the morning is all.... :)

  2. What's humourous about your comment -- I just wrote in my paper about this; that I was blogging my attempts to get healthier as a way of 'making it real' -- and that by blogging, the people who read the site can act as a guilt-generator.

Which is, of course, exactly what you just did. ;)

Of course, the fact that we've paid for a month's membership to the gym is also a good motivator to actually go. The Scotsman inside me will go simply to ensure the money spent isn't wasted.

  3. In practice, I've noticed that working out on no sleep is useless.

PLUS you can now feel guilty about not getting enough sleep.

(btw we went to the gym tonight)
