Day 4: Now with less ow.

<< Day 3: Ow | Main | writing paper >>

Because this week was a little crazy with the sick puppy and all the guests at the start of it, we decided that we'd start the gym on Monday. It makes sense, since we won't be able to get out to do any exercise over the weekend (I'm locking myself in to finish writing a paper).

Of course, that doesn't mean I didn't do any exercise this morning! Since it's the start of the month, I no longer have my bus pass, which means the only way I can get to work is to walk for an hour, or bike for 20 minutes. Now, my bike isn't ready to ride at the moment - I have to order in a new fork - so I took Kirsten's bike in. My route to work is in orange. For scale, I've included the jogging route from yesterday's entry in red. (On a side note... I love Google Maps).

This will be my daily route Monday to Friday from now until about October.

  1. That's a pretty healthy route. I wish that I would make the time in my schedule to get in a little more exercise than I do. But, my daily bus commute from St. Albert to Edmonton somewhat limits my time, so the majority of my exercise is walking from 107th St. (bus stop) down Jasper to 123rd st. (the office).

  2. When I get a little more used to the ride, I generally switch to going down Walterdale Hill and back up Bellamy (101)... makes for a nice workout before and after work.
