I mentioned this in my LJ too after swiping it from you and Arc.. and like I said there, I kinda feel sorry for the guy but not really. Ya put stuff on the 'net, ya gotta expect something like this to happen. When I started my ethnography project and mentioned I'd be using IRC logs, someone in my class asked me how I'd handle that ethically because "there's an assumption of privacy on the Internet." I asked him if he belonged to a different Internet than I did, because I believe there is NO expectation of privacy on the net. Those that do expect it are newbies and will learn soon enough. Eesh there I go on my insider/outsider crap again... my paper invades everything!! :)
