How to tell you're old...

<< We have an allergic dog... | Main | Film recommendation >>

Here's a quick and easy litmus test for whether or not you're old.

Do you spend days debating feature sets, 'bang for buck', and general benefits of buying:

a) a new car
b) computer equipment/electronics
c) an over-the-range microwave

If you answered c, congratulations - you're old!

What if you ignore the microwave altogether because you found one at the thrift shop/came with the house/dump that works "well enough" to pull you through until you can afford to buy a new one?

This of course assumes that you have just enough money to spend on the microwave, and need to replace the old one that's making an altogether unpleasant "thunk" sound.

And I think we can all agree that a microwave generally should not make a "thunk" sound.

Well.. unless you're tossing it out the back door of your house at your garage. Then the "thunk" sound is quite pleasant.
