The seventh circle of Hades

<< Cutest. Puppy. Ever. | Main | Back in Edmonton >>

Last night, some time between 11pm and 3am, I discovered the 10th circle of Hell. On the bright side, I finished my Flash project for one of my HuCo courses.

On the down side, I'm scarred for life by the sheer hell that is working in the Flash environment. I can't tell you how many times Flash

  • crashed while working on a file

  • changed the structure of symbols and shapes I was working on

  • added Actionscript to places I didn't want actionscript to be added

  • told me that the actionscript I was adding to a symbol couldn't be used unless it was added to a symbol (?!)

  • changed entirely different scenes from the one I was working on

Surely, there has to be a better way...

Yeah... hmmm. One of the courses in this semester (or maybe it's the next?) for me is Flash stuff. I'm not looking forward to it, but some of the other guys have said that it's not quite so bad.

It doesn't really strike me as the most stable environment...
