I did it. I've been accepted into the Masters in Humanities Computing program at the University of Alberta.
Wow. Now all I have to do is figure out a way to pay tuition!
More inside
My original application for the School of Library and Information Studies was turned down due to a somewhat unhealthy GPA (you'd be surprised how much a failing grade in Old English can hurt you). Rick Szostak, the Associate Dean for the Faculty of Arts, went to bat for me though, and suggested that I reapply under the Interdisciplinary Studies banner. Through some inter-faculty magic that I dare not examine, I was let in with probationary status.
What this means is that I have to maintain a B average in all my courses for the first term, or I'm kicked out of the program. Since under normal circumstances I have to maintain a B average, that's not a huge issue for me.
I'm now excited and terrified.

Woooooo congrats!!!!! :)
