Heidegger is doing fine; he ate about twice his body weight the first night he was home, and has pretty much settled into life as usual. At least, life as usual for Heidegger, which means he wanders around the house meowing to or about nothing in particular (I usually equate this to an old guy wandering the streets complaining about "stuff"). Zelda has begrudgingly acknowledged his reentry into the house by wandering up to him, sniffing, hissing, sniffing, hissing, sniffing, then wandering away. Cayce is quite happy to see Heidegger back; she lost a cat to chase when he disappeared.
The book is going well... I'm through tech and copy edits, and I'm currently checking proofs of the final copy. It'll be out in stores at the end of May - go out and buy several copies. Please. :)
