randomhouse.com | Garfield The Movie by Written by H. S. Newcomb Created by Jim Davis

It has a sample chapter. The first chapter.

Normally, if you're going to supply a sample chapter, it will be one of the best, most interesting chapters... this way, your prospective reader will get drawn into the tale and want to read more.

In the case of this book, the sample chapter gave me the rage. I'd actually like to hunt down H. S. Newcombe and punish him (or her) for unleashing a narrative atrocity upon the earth.

Note: I didn't expect a sample chapter from "Garfield: the movie" to be literary genius... but apparently the author thought they'd try for that, which opens them up to my mocking.
