Because I'm a combination of proud of our efforts and trying to distract myself from finishing the last section of the last chapter of my book, here's photographic detail of what we've accomplished over the last few weeks in our bathroom!

I took a break from writing today to work on the bathroom with Kirsten. She'd decided that enough was enough, and she wanted to pee upstairs at night, dammit! So today, we laid the flooring in the bathroom upstairs and reinstalled the toilet.... and it all went without incident. I was a little worried at first, because it's not a simple square room; there's a chimney in the middle of one side. Since I didn't want to cut multiple pieces of linoleum and seam them, I had to make some very interesting cuts downstairs in the basement. Much to my surprise, the cuts were all made properly, and very little trimming was required.

So without further adieu, here's the before and after pictures of the toilet area. (What I'm not showing is the before before picture, in which there was a bathtub where the toilet is now).
