OK, since it's public now...

Remember that secret project I've been talking about? Well, I can now tell you what it is (since information on it has been released).

I'm writing a book. Or, rather, I've already written most of a book.

The book in question? Apache Essentials: Install, Configure, Maintain

Now, before you drop a jaw, go google-eyed, and say, "Hey... when'd Darren become an Apache god?" I should tell you that this book is geared away from the gearheads. That is, it's written for your average web professional - me.

As the description for the book says, the book will demystify Apache, explaining how to configure it in clear, easy-for-a-web-monkey-to-understand English.

Provided I keep my ass working, it'll hit bookstores May 2004.

  2. wow. go you! I could use that, I believe. I've always wanted to know and hate relying on people when I don't know essentially what they are doing.
