US snubs its historical allies.

Boston.com / Latest News / World / U.S. allies angered, disappointed by bar on bidding for Iraqi contracts

Apparently, the US is barring all contract bids from countires that didn't support their war in Iraq - regardless of how much they've supported them in the past. In Canada's case, we've pledged $225 million in support, and have been 'helping them out' in Afghanistan for the last year and a half or so.

The US response? "Countries that want to be eligible for bidding should participate militarily."

Bastards.

  1. The impression I got from the CNN stories was that committing troops wasn't the only thing for being eligable, retracting statements critizing the white house's policies about the war was also needed.

Fucktards is a more accurate word IMO. But I've already put up my thoughts on my own page.

  3. There are a few photoshops of this idea out there already. I'm very happy to be canadian right now...

I still think we should offer amnesty to americans (who on a whole are very nice and sane people) who wish to flee their oppresive government.
