Apparently, the US is barring all contract bids from countires that didn't support their war in Iraq - regardless of how much they've supported them in the past. In Canada's case, we've pledged $225 million in support, and have been 'helping them out' in Afghanistan for the last year and a half or so.
The US response? "Countries that want to be eligible for bidding should participate militarily."
Bastards.

The impression I got from the CNN stories was that committing troops wasn't the only thing for being eligable, retracting statements critizing the white house's policies about the war was also needed.
