So, um, I don't have long hair any more.
It's not nearly as short as what Alan and Brian did, but it's all gone.
On Saturday, after leaving the Farmer's Market, we passed by the Whyte Ave Hair Company. Kirsten looked over and said, "So... do you want to do it?" and this time I said yes.
A little backstory: I've been wanting to make a change for a few months now. I've had long hair for over a decade, and with the hard water and dry air here, it just wasn't feeling or looking healthy. I've vacillated from shaving it completely (probably not a good idea in my case), to having it shoulder length, to having a 1950s-style slick-back hairdo.
It took an hour and a half in the barber's chair, but it's done now... it's still long-ish (about 6" of hair on the top, but cropped to the nape at the back), but it's closer to that 1950s slick-back hairstyle.
In fact, it looks kind of like this (but not really) because it gets all wavy. Once I get the camera back from Canon, I'll take some pics for y'all.

Oh my goodness!! I can't wait to see the photos!!!!

Are you now a mere mortal like the rest of us? :)
