Books in the wild...

<< Good and happy thoughts | Main | Looking for books... >>

In searching for Edmonton bookstores online, I came across this site, which appears to be a site detailing where to find books "released into the wild".

It seems that this is the literary equivalent of geocaching; when you're done with a book, you register it on the site, write the unique bookid inside, then just leave it somewhere (noting on the website where it was left).

I'll have to search around and see if I can find some!

(There a bunch in Abbotsford too...)

  1. I love bookcrossing.com. I came across one of the books left around by them in Chilliwack awhile back when I lived there, that's how I found out about it. I had forgotten all about it since then though. I'll have to wander around Abbotsford and see if I can't find something to read. Maybe I'll release one of my old books, that might be fun.

  3. Umm... I suppose you might know me. But I doubt it. I don't recognize your name, but then I'm terrible with names. I just recently found your site, and when I saw you were from Abbotsford I started coming here regularly. It's a cool site.
