Wow. We're bushed.
Two hikes down, umpteen more to go.

Until then, here's the batch of pictures from the first hike. Photos from the second hike haven't been developed yet... but will be soon.
Kirsten, about the halfway mark. See those mountains in the distance? They're directly to the right of our goal.
Another shot of our ultimate goal, somewhere on the trail. See that mountain in the background? That's the mountain at the back of the cirque we were heading towards.
This is what we saw, halfway up the trail, when we looked back.
And this was our goal, a sink lake. There are about 5 or 6 of these in the cirque, depending on the season. We just saw the one, because we were unable to quickly find the rest. The chances are good that they were still snowed under, as there was still quite a bit of snow up here.

Remember those mountains I pointed out in the first photo? These are them.
Yet another shot at our goal... but this is actually looking back. The ridge on the right hand side was our entry point. You can't see our footprints, but we had to scamper across the snow. By the looks of things, we were the first ones to make the hike this season.
