Gassed by Iraqi Troops, Blindsided by the INS and kicked out of the country.
Katrin Michael was held up by the Bush government on March 14 as evidence against Saddam Hussein's leadership in Iraq. In statements issued from the White House, she described her ordeal as a Kurdish dissident under Iraqi rule.
A week later, she received a letter from the INS telling her she was about to be detained - jailed - by the INS.
So much for 'land of the free', eh?
