It's now perfectly legal for media to lie

A Florida Appeals court ruled there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying, concealing or distorting information by a major press organization. . . . The attorneys for Fox, owned by media baron Rupert Murdock, argued the First Amendment gives broadcasters the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on the public airwaves.

Uhm... hello,McFly! Welcome to this little place I like to think of as the 20th (well, 19th) century, where the truth is distorted on a daily basis for profit by big companies, small companies and the media for personal gain. There's also a concept where the "news" that's "reported" by "reporters" for the "news" media isn't always accurate and is messed with to produce something that will get "ratings". I heard they used this technique since the early days (especially with wars) in a technique called "propaganda".

Sarcasm aside I think it's far more unusual to find a report of any kind that is completely truthful.

Geez, I'm catty this morning! :)

Look this is the way it is. Murdock and his ilk have to be stopped and the only way to do it is to stop buying the shit they put out. So.....don't buy any FOX movies (if you really want Titanic or Dude, fuck off and die then buy it previously viewed, there'll be plenty off them believe me) or any of his other products. Support what you know to be right and boycott Murdock products. When the git goes out of business then turn your attention to someone else. Bye, bye!!!!
