I can finally tell you...

<< colour me happy... | Main | I'm still alive... >>

Since details were released this morning, I can finally tell you what the big project back in December was...

I'm published! I contributed a chapter to Practical Intranet Development, being released by Glasshaus Publishing next month.

Glasshaus approached me last December, and asked if I was interested in contributing to the book - and damned if I didn't say yes. A flurry of writing activity later (literally a week turnaround), and my chapter was in, signed and stamped.

I received my own copies last week, and have had a chance to read through the rest of the authors' work. Not that I'm biased (or that I get royalties for that matter), but I'd strongly recommend purchasing the book if you're currently working, or planning to work with an Intranet in the near future.

To mark the occassion, I made a kinky little graphic...

Buy this book!

Congrats Darren. You deserve it. Hope it opens up opportunities for more of your writing. :)

Hurray! Maybe you could just send all of your constant readers a free copy. You know you want to.

CDN$ 42.67!!! Holy hell, Webman! How about sending me a copy of your chapter so I can at least see your mastery in action.

Like the samples at the grocery store. If I try a tiny piece of bacon, maybe I'll want the giant package of bacon.

Have you seen the cost of computer books in the last decade? $43 is a bargain!

Seriously though, if you want to test-drive a highly unedited copy of the chapter, let me know. But you have to promise to buy 3 copies of the book after I send it to you. :)
