it's beginning to look a lot like christmas

<< life update | Main | busy day from hell >>

Some new photos, just in time for Christmas... we put up a little tree in our house for Christmas this year, since this was originally going to be our first Christmas in Edmonton.

A cute little dragon
Our friend Christie bought us this cute little dragon one day...

top of the tree
We didn't have anything for the top of our tree, so we decided to build our own star... Kirsten was covered with little bits of tin foil and spray adhesive for the rest of the night.

Out little tree
In addition to our main tree, we have a smaller tree sitting across the room. It's so small, not even the smallest of our gifts fit underneath.

Tree detail
Kirsten has been collecting antique glass ornaments over the past year; we've got some from the Sally Ann, from Value Village, and from garage sales. Here's one of them..

(and here it is again)

These pictures were from the Pentax K-1000. I think I'm starting to get the hang of taking pictures with it -- or at least not ruining quite as many pictures with it. :)

Funnily enough, the Minolta took an especially crappy roll of pictures last time out. Normally it's the better of the two.
