new photos...

The next batch of photos came in...

The neighbours across the alley. A nice couple, one of whom is a theologian. On the bottom left, you can just make out their meditative garden - it's a maze they leave open to anyone who stops by.

This is the view out of the University LRT station. This is how I start my work day, heading underground to the office.

And this is how I end my workday, descending into the Bay St LRT station.

Julie does these shots much better than I can.

The phone booths in the LRT stations glow a ghostly yellow, no matter what time of day it is.

The leaves are starting to turn in Edmonton... It's noticable now that Summer is over, and Fall has begun. Pretty soon we'll be looking at snow, I'm sure - this has been a weird year for weather.

On the walk home one day, I spied this tree, who just couldn't wait for fall. Though all the trees around it were just starting to turn a greeny-yellow, it was blazing the way. I stopped by today, and it had lost nearly all its leaves already.

Kirsten sitting on our little stoop. This shot came out with great colour, despite the crappy weather we were having.

Kirsten suggested I take this shot, and I had to get on my very tippy-toes to take it. Again, crappy weather, but the colour turned out well.

And then, Kirsten whisked away the camera and took another shot - one of the neighbours had strung up the dead flowers into the chain link fence.

These are the first buildings I see when I emerge out of the University LRT station. I really like the architecture of the Timms Center for the Arts (foreground).

It also looks like I'm starting to have a thing for sky shots.

Random shot, because I thought it might look neat.

I have a vision with this shot, of a woman in a long flowing dress walking away from the camera.

Kirsten has a thing for red doors; she took this shot as we were walking home one afternoon.

She also took this shot, which came out fantastically.

I needed to waste one shot so I could take the film in on Saturday... and this is what came out. This is the forest of herbs and plants that live in our kitchen; for whatever reason, plants thrive on our kitchen table. We have a cyclamen that just finished a blooming streak of 6 months. (It's taking a rest, but has recently shot up a couple new blooms)

I'm actually not as impressed with this set as I was with the first; I think the difference was the film I used - the first roll was Fuji ASA100, whereas this was a roll of Kodak ASA200 we had sitting in the desk for some reason. I'll probably head back to the 100 for my next roll.

I swear to God most of it is just dumb luck.

I love your second and third pictures, though! Gorgeous!

(Also, it's .net now, but you linked to .com. :))
