It is all over the news here. However, and quite surprisingly, there seems to be a lot of media egg on the face of the Georgia woman who decided to stir the glutial molasses. She has essentially been branded a liar by the press, and the couple people I have talked to concur.

I think that this banning of these students, incidentally all naturalized citizens, is tragic. I certainly hope that they, all US citizens do what US citizens do very well (sue) and that is take the institution of which they have been denied access to, to court.

I would also trust that defamation of character suits fly against the Georgia peach who would, on the (apparent) basis of her own prejudices, wantonly set forth to destroy the lives of three innocent men.

just remember that they are not being denied an education, just one at that location. they will end up at another hospital. my understanding was that the hospital administration is worried that the media attention will hinder the hospital's primary mission, treating sick people. also they are not all natuaralized citizens. 1 was born in Jordan and is naturalized. another was born in the U.S. and another doesn't hold U.S. citizenship. oh, and yes they should pursue defimation of character suit, unless that was made up as well. though if it would hold up in court the original complainte could be expecting lots of folks sueing for damages for sitting on I-75 for 17 hours ;)

Hell, I haven't said "Fuck Canadians!" because of a poll that came out saying 65% of all Canadians say that we had 9/11 coming for us... and thusly made it sound JUSTIFIED. Because I do not judge a country on a small sample of its people.

Actually, your comment is wrong. Nobody won the war of 1812. According to quite a few sites (this one from Virginia in particular), "The end of the war restored the status quo ante bellum, that is, it left everything the way it had been when the war began."



The Treaty signed at the end of the war did nothing other than end the war. "No major concessions [were] granted by either side." This treaty was signed shortly before the Battle of New Orleans, which is why (as this site says) there is a misconception that the US won the war of 1812.
