So, I got one....

<< Thank GOD. | Main | new article up... >>

Through a kooky set of coincidences, I finally ended up getting myself a camera this weekend.

Kirsten and I drove out to Sherwood Park yesterday, to go to a thrift store my coworker Amanda had told me about. On the way back, we decided to hit a few garage sales we'd seen.

At one of them, I happened to come across an old Minolta Hi-Matic G, a fixed-lens 35mm camera built in 1974, for $3.

The lens was nice and clean, with no scratches, and all it needed was a new battery (for the metering). I picked up a 12-shot roll of ASA100 to try out in it... I'll develop it & post shots some time next week...

Looking forward to seeing the photos. Those older Minolta rangefinders are supposed to be pretty good, and at $3 I think you got a deal.
