Back from the interview... it turns out the position is actually more of a business proposition; the company I was interviewing with is setting up a new company (whose details I won't disclose), and wants someone to sign on as a partner. This means a couple of things: 1) low starting wage. As the business grows, my income would theoretically grow -- but for the first little while, it'd be pretty tight. 2) getting into business for myself. Although I'd have strong support from the parent company, I'd still be taking a big risk; even if I didn't put money in, but rather sweat capital, I'd still have stake in it.

So I honestly don't know what to do. I'm supposed to let the company know by the end of the week what my decision is.

Hey Darren, good luck with your decision. Whatever you decide, it's great that you're quickly making connections in Edmonton.

Heh. I'm making tonnes of great connections... lots of people saying "Hey, your work looks great! Wish we had work for you!"... At this point, I'd be ecstatic with "Hmm.. you look mediocre. Come work for us!" ;)

Tell me about it! I wish someone would LOOK at my work.
