so close, yet so far...

<< Four words you hardly hear... | Main | I'm back! >>

Came so close to being able to use "It's boxy, but it's good" for a product ad today. So close, I could taste it.

Busy day today, and when I return on Monday. There are a lot of projects due for work, all of which have very rapidly approaching deadlines. This, of course, isn't due to procrastination on my part... it's due to a lot of projects coming up with very short deadlines.

As annoying as the deadlines are, they do serve to keep me on my toes. It's almost getting to the point that if I had a project with a reasonable deadline (let's say a 2-3 week production period, as opposed to the current 2-3 days), I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I kind of worry, however, that I'll burn myself out this way; the human brain can only take so much stress before it turns into a little puddle of goo. I'm far from that stage now, but I often wonder if I'm running that danger.
