A report released by the CDC and the National Cancer Institute claims that any person living in the Continental United States since 1951 has been exposed to radioactive fallout from above-ground nuclear weapons testing from 1951-1962. The report has attributed up to 15,000 deaths to fallout from the nuclear testing.

It's pretty reasonable to extend the affected area to Canada as well, as most of the wind patterns extend from the US into Canada. You wonder why there's been an apparent increase in cancer over the last few decades? Here's your reason why.
