Fuck. Blogger ate my post. Doing this by hand.

Basic jist:

Some moron decided he wanted to assert his control over
astoundingweb's hosting. He's had personality conflicts with the
other admins on the forums over the last few months, and I guess that
today he decided to pop into Asshole Factor 7 and yank their DNS out
from under their feet.

Astounding was an excellent place for designers to share, view and
review some outstanding websites. It was a great resource, and a
spectacular way to see what everyone else was up to. I'm deeply
saddened at its loss, and I hope that it will resurface, in one form
or another, very soon.

Big Dave, Suzanne, Fishsauce et al, I hope fate finds you well in the
future. I look forward to seeing if you come up with something just
as astounding as astoundingweb.

To Mr. Davis... I hope you come to your senses and give astounding
back to its audience. Astoundingweb is dead. Long live astoundingweb
II.

By the way.. Look for a new design in about 10 minutes. :)
