CBC News: Muslims, Arabs denounce Canada's anti-terror bill -- I almost forgot to report about Bill C-36, Canada's anti-terrorism bill. There's been little reporting (that I've seen) on this bill, which could have broad-reaching effects on our basic rights and freedoms.

I think this bill would be much more accepted if the Liberals were willing to add a sunset clause into it, as was done in the US.

...which is of course why there's the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. ;)

so perhaps it's more appropriate to say "charterly challenged" ;)

I was talking about the charter. In three places it says rights can be taken away at any time.
